What’s the difference between Business writing and Academic writing? A good proposal demonstrates that you understand how your client thinks: how they think about their problems, special needs they have and so on. The more your proposal meshes with the way the client thinks about the problem, the easier it will be for the client to see that your product or service meets their needs.
A document tracking platform like Slidebean Track will notify you when the prospect opened the proposal, and tell you how much time they spend on each slide, whether they shared the proposal inside their company, or if they even took the time to look through the whole deck.
In the Cover Letter, simply explain succinctly who you are, why you are presenting this proposal, and what you’d like the reader to do after considering the proposal information (set up a meeting with you, collaborate on a contract, call for estimates, etc.). Be sure to provide all your contact information, too-phone number, email, website, physical address, and so forth.
Another element that make clients happy is the warranty: it basically says that if you are not able to achieve your goal or you are not on time, you will reduce your fee of X%. It can also be a statement to finish earlier the project if it is not going as client expects.
Create a pricing table that clearly identifies each product or service, and pair it with the most accurate pricing information you can provide — you don’t want to overestimate the cost and scare your potential client off with an estimate that’s too high, but you also don’t want to underestimate the cost and set your client up for unexpected pricing issues down the line.
